Dauntless Deb - Why the Name?

So, my name obviously isn't Deborah, I chose this name purposely during the time I was PIMO.

During my time as a Jehovah's Witness, I noticed one thing...the bible only mentions one female judge. And guess what her name was...exactly. LOL. Not only was Deborah a judge for 40 years, but she was also a prophetess, one whose predictions rang true.

In my self-proclaimed "period of enlightment", stumbling on a reference to her during a meeting seemed like a sign. As far as Dauntless, well that's just the nerd in me, coupled with my love of alliteration.

Under "Dauntless Deb", I followed ex-jw accounts, joined reddit, and emailed newspapers about the pedophilia and suicides the organization had a hand in. Initially, I wasn't sure if I would ever really leave the organization, but referring to myself as "fearless" sounded like a step in the right direction. And look at me now....just out here living my truth and shit. 😊

I do plan to keep the pseudonym, mainly as a way to keep my ex-jw life and experiences separate from the new life I'm building for myself now. Corny as it may be, I like it. 😜 And so I'll end this with a simple, thanks for being here with me on this journey and thanks for reading. - Keysha
